Welcome everyone! Our Cambodia Fashion come back again after a long long break...
As promise , I will provide you some tips for your trip to Vietnam, the esternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia.
Transportation:
In the past, people usually go by car or plane, however, since the road system is getting better now, we like to travel by bus, which is more comfortable and not so expansive.
With the bus, you do not have to tranfer from one car to another when you arrive at the border, all what you need is; walk into the custom office and have your visa checked. After that, the bus takes you directly to the Saigon city non-stop.
The Climate:
The weather in Vietnam is quite similar to ours, so do not need to bring any jacket or coat. Just take what you usually wear in Cambodia. The fashion in Vietnam is only a slight different from us...
The currency:
Some people feel so messy when they try to figure out how much this or that cost in Riel or dollar because most of the products are labeled or sold in VN currency: The Dong!
So here the tip:
Vietnam dong to Riel:
Riel= Vietnam dong /4
For example: 16.000/4= 4000 riel =1 $
1600.000/4=400.000 riel=100$
The value maybe a bit lower or higher, but it is still the easiest way to calculate. So momy and grandma, you don't have to worry now.. no need to take out ur calculator whenever you go to store again! ;-)
Shopping Centers:
Staying in Saigon around a week, I can't count how many market or supermarket I have gone to. In this city, there are so many supermarket in the block, and you can find whatever you want. However, you should know the products they provide are not the same, some with the best quality and some not , some so expensive and some with reasonable price.
Here some supermarkets that I know:
The supermarket Big C, I like this one because it has variety of products, and the price is also affordable.
However, if you want to visit something modern and high class, go to Diamond Plaza. The clothes with brandname, the modern leather handbag, the jewellery....and so on.
The Restaurant:
Most of time, I eat at where I see. If I am hungry, and I see the restaurant nearby, I just walk in and order the food. There are not any place particularly. However, If you are a fast-food addicted, you should try the "KFC", the chicken hamburger and chicken fried there are so yummy. The flavor is still on my nose whenever I think about this restau......he eh ehe heh
There are many things that I wanna tell all you guys, but If I keep writting, I think you might fall asleep while reading.... so I'd better stop my writting here...
And I may give more tips about Vietnam again when I come back from my trip to this country again next week.
